They way I like to think about shading is in light values. If you can pick areas within your drawing and assign them a corresponding number from 1-5 or 1-10 depending on how light or dark they look to you, you can use that as an easy way to start thinking about how much shading to apply where

To me, 1 is the lightest and 5 is the darkest here

Most of the can is an even level of kighting, but if you want to go above and beyond you can account for this brighter area that is reflecting the window or light in the room by very very gently removing some of the shading with an eraser at the end. but you should test that out on a piece of scratch paper first to get the hang of it

yeah I recently bought a nice new custom AR, and then spent an aggravating amount of time trying to find ammo. Its chambered in 5.56 so my options are about as open as they can be, but still hard to find more than 100 or so that a gun store will sell you at once, even at as bad as 75c/round. I have no aspirations to stockpiling, but I figured ~200 was enough to have around, can still go to a range day and not be at zero after. (I'm not exactly spraying, mostly wanting to put little holes in paper in a small group at 100 or so yards, at least that's the goal)

I don't agree on the last part of your statement. If it were public there would be public accountability. As is customary with most mega-corporations, PG&E has ramped up execurive wages/bonuses despite claiming to have no available budget for appropriate fire preventative measures or to be fully accountable for the repercussions of their fires
